The best of the live and TV worlds

The thing that makes TV so amazingly good at sport events is that you have the best seat in the house, all the time. You never miss a thing from the numerous (no, lots and lots) if cameras that are always in the best positions, and you will always know whats going on thanks to the numerous commentators, analysts and interviews that go on throughout the programme. Also if you miss anything, you can always watch it in slow motion a few seconds later. But the atmosphere, liveliness and overpriced beverages are something that the TV can never live up to. So, some bright spark has put the two together (and don’t worry, I’m not talking about TVs in executive boxes) and come up with Kangaroo TV.

Mainly this is designed to be used at Formula 1 races, as it effectively allows users to follow the race at any point in the circuit through access to the cameras, and even drivers eye views. You can also access slow motion replays, which you can watch again and again at you leisure and listen to race commentary. All this means you have an even better watching pleasure than you would in you own home, and with the atmosphere and expensive drinks to go with it.

It will be available at Silverstone this year with a hiring price of £50 (approx. $100) and its makers Kangaroo are in talks with the governing bodies of other sports such as cricket, tennis, the Olympics and Nascar meaning it will be available at most top sporting events within the next few years. So, if you want the ultimate sporting experience (besides actually playing the sport) this is it.
