New games for the iphone; a console in your hand

iPHONE

It has recently been announced that a number of large video game industries are on board with Apple for porting and making games for the iPhone. The games will be multitouch and plans to use as many of the nifty features of the phone as possible; including the accelerometer.

As if this news wasn’t enough to get any Apple fanboy spouting off, EA has announced that Spore will be available on the phone. As another neat little touch, Spore will be available in full form, all eighteen levels. This is supposedly supposed to hit the market sometime in Late Summer or Early Fall, an exact date honing in for sometime in September.

Sega has also announced that it’s first game will be Super Monkey Ball and hopefully a number more over the years. The App Store of the iPhone is also said to start carrying a selection of casual games eventually. What a day for Apple fans. Thank you Steve Jobs and thank you video games. Make sure to keep an eye out for what other hits may find it’s way to your cell this year.
